Betânia is a social enterprise inspired by the values of solidarity, service, and competence. We are driven by the desire to serve those who serve in the Church and in today’s world.
We were born inspired by the Catholic meaning of Bethany, the place where Jesus was served. With the same idea of serving those who serve, we were created to support organizations that provide service to society.
As Pope Francis says, “In the house of Bethany, the Lord Jesus experienced the spirit of family and the friendship of Martha, Mary, and Lazarus… who offered the Lord Jesus the hospitality of their home, giving him their dedicated attention.”
Thus, the logo of Betânia seeks to reflect these aspects. With the three main characters who symbolize Bethany (Martha, Mary, and Lazarus) at the center, the logo represents their unity as they worked together to serve those who serve, which is what we aim to do as a team. Enclosed in a circle, the idea is to show that we are integrated within the organization that serves, serving from within, alongside the organization, and it also symbolizes a place of welcome. The flame represents the passion for service, for doing the job well. In Catholicism, the flame also symbolizes the action of the Holy Spirit, reminding us that we are merely instruments in this service.
